It all started with an idea.....

I cannot believe it's been a year and half that a little idea came into my head from realising that lots of candles and home scents were in fact toxic.  This spurned into a mission of mine to try find not only good candles but also scents that really worked and filled the home without any nasties around my two little cocker spaniels Skye and Nala.  What should have ended with just buying some turned into a little passion for unique blends of essential oils but also deciding why not just make them myself but also design the website, design the branding into a range that I would buy myself.  

The name Hearth and Thistle came from the Hearth in Scotland means the heart of the home which my dogs and of course the kids too are but also wanting to create scents that just make you feel at home.  Thistle is the Scottish flower so in line with where I make the candles in a small studio in Bearsden, Scotland it felt right to add this to the brand.

Starting with the Aromatherapy range we have 3 unique blends - And Relax, Calm and Happiness in 30cl sizes and also some lovely travel tins so you can take these with you when you travel.
